Services

The DIGITAG laboratory can provide answers and solutions to your problems based on quality data from a wide scope of research capabilities. We can help you to:

  1. identify bacterial species by molecular analyses (including 16S metagenomics and NGS ) or define the metabolic profile of a bacterial species by genome sequencing and annotation;
  2. localize specific bacterial species in tissues/organs of insects of agricultural interest by fluorescent in situ hybridization and confocal microscopy (including cell and organ in vitro cultures);
  3. make molecular and genomic analyses on animals (in particular insects) of agricultural interest, also involving cytogenetic analyses; 
  4. develop eco-friendly and cost-effective insect trap collaborating to the planning of the testing program for condition assessment or  to solve apparatus problems;
  5. perform microstructural analyses using the environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM) followed by chemical analysis
  6. develop block chain application to favour the traceabilty in your supply chain;
  7. make your prototype for innovative devices in agriculture by 3D printing and laser cutting (in colaboration with the fab lab Modena Makers).

All test reports include an analysis of the data and recommendations for remedial action, if warranted.
